St Michael’s Parents & Friends Association (P & F) represents the general interests of the whole school community.

The P & F aims to foster communication between the school and the parent community by generating an open forum for discussion to encourage and support our children's education. 

The P & F works alongside our teachers and staff to provide additional financial support and assistance towards resources that will nurture the academic, spiritual, physical and social wellbeing of all students. 

The P & F volunteer time to raise funds to not only enable the purchase of much needed equipment and resources but to enrich the school community in a social aspect. The P & F try to involve as many families as possible in the running of social and fundraising events to promote fellowship/friendship amongst our parents community - “Friend-raising” through fundraising.

AGM

The P & F Executive Committee and Sub-Committee Managers are elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).  All positions are vacated each year and nominations are called for from the school community.       

CONSTITUTION AND P & F HANDBOOK

The P & F Association operates under the guidelines that the constitution provides. The constitution is a written document defining and outlining the duties and powers of the association.  There is an accompanying handbook which provides details for the operations of the Association and the responsibilities for Committee positions.

SURVEY

The P & F undertake an annual survey to engage the parent community and receive valued feedback, satisfaction levels and ideas around general P & F operations, fundraising, projects and fund allocation.   The results provides information the P & F and each Committee use to set goals to work towards in the coming year.
